The raTrust was established in 2013 as an STD and STI education and support organisation.
Our mission is to educate and provide support for those at risk of developing STIs and HIV with a wide range of tools, resources and cost-effective STI tests available in our online shop.
We aim to create a judgement-free environment where we nurture a positive, safe and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as seeking to rid the world of the stigma associated with an HIV-positive diagnosis.
Focusing on the physical, social and mental well-being of the individuals and groups we work with, the Trust provides helpful guides on a wide range of STI's and an outreach service supporting over 800 sex workers across London.
The raTrust is also proud to be one of the region's leading STI organisations that provides English lessons, support into meaningful employment and safe accommodation to those affected by the sex trade.
We also help vulnerable women develop skills for an independent life away from the threat of violence or abuse.
Working with partner organisations, the raTrust seeks to destroy the stigma associated with an HIV positive diagnosis.
Using awareness events and resources, the raTrust has successfully produced, promoted and distributed 1 million brochures about HIV to help educate the public and provide factual information on the disease and issues surrounding diagnosis in a bid to reveal the truth about HIV.
Attracting 30,000 visitors each month, our website seeks to educate and inspire young people to experience better physical, sexual, mental, emotional and spiritual health and a higher-quality lifestyle.
With free resources available on sexually transmitted infections, STI tests and HIV, our website, articles, STI charity shop and social media posts extend the reach of our message and help provide useful information on all aspects of sexual health.
The raTrust is entirely self-funded and relies on the support and generosity of individuals and groups for us to continue our work.
We were also the first UK charity to accept Bitcoin donations (BTC is cryptocurrency) and thanks to our robust business strategy and investors, we have been able to double the income the charity receives each year and remain financially independent.
