Penis Health - Prevention

You should always use condoms when you have sexual contact. But If you have had unprotected sex then you should seek sexual health testing afterwards, in order to rule out a range of infections, including bacterial ones. Unsafe sex is the number one cause of all sexually transmitted infections, so you should do this whether or not you have symptoms, as these can develop later on. The test involves either a urine test or a simple swab and if you have a bacterial infection you can usually be treated with antibiotics. Be sure to wash your hands before and after you go to the toilet too.
